Helen Smith Erb, 88, Hesteco Dress Factory worker, attended Ephrata Church of Brethren

Helen Smith Erb, 88, formerly of Ephrata, entered into rest at Delaney Park Health and Rehabilitation Center, Orlando, Fla., on Sunday, June 4, 2017, where she had been a resident for six years.

She was born in Millway, a daughter of the late William and Annie Smith. She was the wife of the late Melvin G. Erb for 62 years and resided in Orlando, Fla., since 1987. Helen was a seamstress at Hesteco Dress Factory for many years. She was a longtime member of the Ephrata Church of the Brethren before moving to Florida.

Surviving are two daughters: Beverly E., wife of James Shoemaker, of Orlando, Fla.; and Carole A. Montes of Ephrata; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a sister: Edith Snyder of Reinholds.

She was preceded in death by a brother: Harold T. Smith.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 9, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Ave., Ephrata, followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in the Memory Gardens Memorial Cemetery.

Dorothy S. Weaver, 96, Ephrata, worked for Great Valley School District, mother of three

Dorothy S. Weaver, 96, of Ephrata, and formerly of New Holland, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Ephrata Manor.

Dorothy was born in New Holland and worked in the accounting department at Great Valley School District.

Surviving are two sons: Terry Weaver of Sand Lake, N.Y.; and James Weaver of Locust Grove, Va.; one daughter: Marjorie, wife of Mario Dinero, of Wickliffe, Ohio; one grandson: Kory Weaver of Poestenkill, N.Y.; and two great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband: Carl G. Weaver; her parents: Samuel and Grace (Witmer) Stokes; and her brother: Carroll Stokes.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Paula L. Snader, 74, Akron Lions member, enjoyed sports, reminiscing about Australia

Paula L. Snader, 74, of Akron, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Brethren Village.

She was born in Warren, Ohio, to the late Paul D. and Virginia (Wyant) Engle, and was the wife of Bruce R. Snader, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.

She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church. Paula was a member of the Akron Lions Club and the Akron Lioness Club. She enjoyed bowling and watching football and baseball. She loved to travel and laugh with her friends and cherished memories of the life in Australia.

In addition to her husband, Paula is survived by three children: Guy S. Snader of Australia; Debra M., wife of Jorn H. Martzall, of Stevens; Mylene R., wife of Kevin M. Ream, of Ephrata; seven grandchildren: Greg S. Snader, Garret S. Snader, Grant S. Snader, Kylie R. Roth, Alexander S. Kautz, Elianna M. Ream, and Malachi M. Ream; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister: Nellie Mae Eckert.

A visitation will be held June 10, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Grace Fellowship Church, 822 Pointview Ave., Ephrata, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., with Dr. Franklin D. Rice officiating. Interment will take place in the Mount Zion Evangelical Cemetery, Akron.

Vincent I. Showers, 96, decorated WWII vet, long-time Armstrong pattern maker, avid golfer

Vincent I. Showers, 96, of Akron, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was the husband of the late Dorothy E. (Eby) Showers. Vincent was born in Akron to Irvin and Lizzie (Haldeman) Showers on May 13, 1921.

He worked as a pattern maker for Armstrong World Industries for 35 years.

A World War II veteran, Vincent served in the U.S. Army and was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal with two Bronze Stars. He was a member of Cloister Post No. 429 American Legion and Cocalico Valley Post No. 3376 VFW in Ephrata, and the United Steel Workers Local No. 285 Union of Lancaster. Vincent was an avid golfer.

Surviving Vincent is a son: Gregory L. Showers of Akron; a daughter: Sharon K. Irwin of Silver Spring, Md.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren;and a sister: Rabieth McElhenney of Stevens.

In addition to his wife and parents, Vincent was preceded in death by a son: Vincent L. Showers; and four sisters.

Funeral services were held June 5 at Gravenor Home for Funerals, Ephrata. Interment with military honors followed at Mount Zion Evangelical Cemetery, Akron.

Shirley A. Roseman, 82, homemaker, mother of four, attended Grace Lutheran Church

Shirley A. (Levitan) Roseman, 82, a homemaker, of Lancaster and formerly of Ephrata, died on May 30, 2017 at her home.

Born Sept. 23, 1934 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Nathan Levitan and Anna M. (Smith) Rote, and attended Grace Lutheran Church, Lancaster.

Surviving are her four children: Vickie Kissinger of New Holland; Beverly A., wife of Harry Marion, and Cindy, married to Eugene Clippinger, of Ephrata and Dana Roseman of Lancaster; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and siblings: Nathan Levitan, married to Shirley, of Maytown; Jerry Levitan, married to Patricia, of Maytown; Dennis Gehr, of Ephrata; Barry Gehr, of Texas; Kitty Thompson of Lancaster; Jackie Holloman of Lancaster.

She was also preceded in death by a grandchild; and her brother; Ronald Levitan.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial service, to be held at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home, 121 S. Prince St., Lancaster, on Wednesday, June 14, at 2 p.m. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Elmer Martin Redcay, 62, formerly of Terre Hill, Walmart produce worker, athletic club supporter

Elmer Martin Redcay, 62, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at the University of Missouri Hospital, Columbia, Mo.

He was born March 27, 1955 in Lebanon, a son of the late Henry and Lizzie (Martin) Redcay. He was married on June 12, 1976 in Versailles, Mo., to Judith Wenger.

Elmer attended Garden Spot High School, New Holland, and then went to work for Hesston Corp. in Hesston, Kansas.. He was employed by Walmart Super Center in the produce department from 1990 until present.

In 1975, Elmer accepted Christ as his Savior, and was baptized at the age of 20 at Hesston Inter-Mennonite Fellowship by the Rev. Waldo Miller. In 1998, he became member of First Church of God, Jefferson City where he served as usher.

Elmer was a member of the Jefferson City Jay Wrestling Booster Club, and the Jefferson City Jay Football Booster Club, where he and Judy managed the concession stand for many years. Elmer was an active member in the communities he lived in: Hesston, Kansas; Terre Hill; Versailles and Jefferson City, Mo. He cherished the friendships he made in each community.

Elmer was a devoted husband, father, and grandpa. He was his children’s and grandchildren’s biggest fan, and supported them in every activity. He enjoyed traveling with his sons throughout the United States to home and away Chiefs games. As a family, they enjoyed visiting relatives throughout the United States and their annual trip to Lancaster County to visit friends and family.

Survivors include his wife: Judith Redcay of Jefferson City, Mo.; his children: Nathan Redcay, his wife, Jennifer, and children, Kaylee and Nick, of Jefferson City; Desirée Schoenfeld, her husband, John, and children, Morgan and Brooklyn, of Jefferson City; Brandon Redcay, his wife, Traci, and daughter, Emery, of Holts Summit, Mo.; seven sisters: Lena Mae Weaver (Ivan) of Newmanstown; Loella Garman (Lloyd) of Myerstown; Elsie Beiler (Christ) of Leola; Lizzie Leid (Aaron) of Ephrata; Alta Stauffer (Eddie) of Ephrata; Mabel Martin (Leon) of Ephrata; Thelma Hurst (Vernon) of Ephrata; four brothers: Melvin Redcay (Donna) of Bowmansville; Ivan Redcay (Abbie) of Sarasota, Fla.; Lester Redcay (Pearl) of Mount Hope; and Glenn Redcay (Sherry) of Ephrata; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Clarence Redcay (Stella) and Henry Redcay Jr. (Sandy).

Graveside services were held June 11 at Mount Zion Cemetery, Versailles, Mo.

Robert Thomas Nitsch, 48, worked for Toshiba America Medical Systems, father of two

Robert Thomas “Bobby” Nitsch, formerly of Denver, passed away unexpectedly on May 13, 2017, at the age of 48.

Bobby was born on June 11, 1968 in Lancaster.

He graduated from Ephrata Christian School, then graduated from The Technical Institute in Middletown, with an associate’s degree in specialized technology, electronics, and computer technology. He moved to Indianapolis, Ind., to begin working for Biosound Esaote as a technical support specialist, where he met his wife, Pamela Powers, with whom he shared 20 years of marriage and two children.

He then earned his bachelor of science from Indiana Wesleyan University, and became a customer service engineer for Toshiba America Medical Systems. He was later promoted within Toshiba as an area service manager, and relocated to Lake St. Louis, Mo.

He enjoyed motocross biking, weight lifting, running, and swimming, as he was a frequent participant in triathlons. Bobby will be remembered most by his friends and family as a kind, patient, driven, and talented man, who encouraged others to reach their fullest potential.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather: Emory Jay Weaver; and his grandparents: Thomas Hahn, Bessie (High) Hahn, Oscar Nitsch, and Hilde Nitsch.

He is survived by his wife: Pamela Powers Nitsch of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; his children: Sydney Marie (13) and Aaron Robert (11); his mother: Joan (Hahn) Weaver of Denver; his father and stepmother: O. Robert and Karen Nitsch of Scottsdale, Ariz.; his siblings: Christine Carboni of Lewisburg; Deborah Nitsch of Drexel Hill; Sarah Florea of Ephrata; and Candice Jay of Denver; and many nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.

An informal celebration of life gathering is scheduled for Saturday, July 8, at Bobby’s childhood home at 108 S. Sixth St., Denver, with drop-in hours from 1 to 4 p.m. He was laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery Annex in Denver. All are welcome to come and celebrate Bobby’s life.

Dennis W. Musser, 67, worked at Bollman Hat Co., outdoorsman, sang with several bands

Dennis W. Musser, 67, of Adamstown, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017, at Reading Hospital.

He was born in Ephrata to Mae A. (Wealand) Musser and the late William S. Musser, and was the companion of Ruth McDowell.

Dennis worked in marketing and for Bollman Hat Co. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting, and was a member of numerous bands for which he loved to sing.

In addition to his mother, Dennis is survived by two daughters: Jennifer S. Musser, companion of James J. O’Neill; and Adrienne E., wife of Rob Burkholder; two grandsons: Dennis James O’Neill Musser, Blake Keller Burkholder; a brother: Galen R., husband of Sarah Musser; and a sister: Christine L. Hartranft.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother: Melvin L. Musser.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Donna B. Hockenberry, 75, Weaver’s Market retiree, attended Grace Evangelical, mother of three

Donna B. Hockenberry, 75, Ephrata, formerly of Blandburg, went to be with her Lord surrounded by the prayers of her loved ones Friday, June 9, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy.

She was born March 15, 1942, in Fallentimber, a daughter of Dennis C. and Geraldine C. (Simmers) Caber. On May 30, 1959, in Irvona, she married George V. Hockenberry, who died Sept. 21, 2006.

Surviving are three children: Bonnie S. Keith of Blandburg; Vernon W. of Lititz; and William L. of Elizabeth City, N.C. Also surviving is her mother: Geraldine C. Carnahan of Fallentimber; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Marjie Mallen of Houtzdale; and Nancy Kruis of Staunton, Va.; and three brothers: the Rev. Gary W. of Wellsboro; Bernard A. of Ephrata; and Darrell C. of Reinholds.

She was also preceded in death by her father; and a brother: Kenneth.

She had been employed at Weaver Markets, Reinholds as a deli clerk, retiring in 1996. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Church, Ephrata.

Services were held June 13 at Mountaindale Baptist Church, Fallentimber, with the Rev. Ben Warfel officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, LaJose.

June Rosene Cooper, 78, teacher in ELCO district, loving mother and grandmother, a lover of words

June Rosene (Steller) Cooper, 78, of Landis Homes, formerly of Leola, went home to be with her Lord on June 8, 2017, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late Frank L. and Miriam L. Kreider Steller.

A graduate of the former Upper Leacock High School and Millersville State Teachers College, June was a retired elementary school teacher for the Eastern Lancaster County School District.

As a longtime member of the Neffsville Mennonite Church, she was involved in The Ambassadors Sunday school class and sang in the choir. Music was always important to her, even humming to tunes when her speech became difficult.

She loved teaching her students and spending time with family and grandchildren. June was an exceptional teacher. Many of her students returned to visit and thank her years after they left her classroom. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was passionate about educating her own children when they were young and carried that passion forward to educate her grandchildren. When she was able, she delighted in attending her children and grandchildren’s many events. She catalogued these happy times with tape recordings and thousands of photographs. She was known for sitting in the front row and smiling broadly throughout the performances.

Throughout her adulthood, she discovered her adventurous spirit, referring to herself as “Pioneer Woman,” parasailing, and traveling to Israel. She was a lover of words and delighted in her remarkable command of language, which continued for several years into her illness.

She will be lovingly missed by her friends and relatives including her children: David, married to Sheila (Ebersole), Ephrata; Jon, married to Heather (Suchanec), Newark, Del.; Becky, married to Glenn Cook, Albany, N.Y.; 11 beloved grandchildren; a brother, Donald, married to June (Albright), Leola.

A son: Stephen; and a nephew: Matthew, preceded her in death.

Funeral service are set for: 11 a.m on. Saturday, June 17, at the Neffsville Mennonite Church, 2371 Lititz Pike, Neffsville/Lancaster, with interment following in the Trumbauer Memorial Cemetery, Leola. Viewings: Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola; and 10 to 11 a.m. at the church on Saturday.

Memorials are welcomed to: Neffsville Mennonite Church; or to Young Life, P.O. Box 28, Burnt Hills, NY 12027.

Eleanor T. Brune, 71, X-ray tech, passionate about motherhood; author and naturalist

Eleanor T. “Ellie” Brune, 71, of Denver, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Brethren Village, Lititz, after an extended illness.

Eleanor was born June 4, 1945, in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Paul Thomas Smith and Elizabeth (Johnston) Smith.

A graduate of Abington Senior High School, Montgomery County, in 1963, she was active in Civil Air Patrol and studied at Chestnut Hill Hospital, Jefferson Hospital, and University of Pennsylvania for her X-ray technician certification. She worked at Chestnut Hill Hospital and Fort Belvoir Army Hospital as an X-ray technician, and at Brune Abrasive Service Co. for 34 years as an officer and office manager.

Eleanor’s first love was being a mother and homemaker, but was also an author, avid reader, birder, naturalist, and needlework enthusiast.

She is survived by her husband: Lennart; son: Andrew Brune, married to Jo Anna (Ready); and daughter: Megan, married to Christopher Keenan; four grandchildren: Nathanial, Emma, Rachel, and Ryan. Also surviving is a sister: Jean M. (Smith) Johnston; and a brother: Graham J. Smith, both of Bucks County.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a celebration of her life, to be held on Sunday, June 25 at noon, at the Foxchase Golf Club, 300 Stevens Road, Stevens.

John Henry Brubaker, 94, farmer, school bus driver, married 75 years, attended Middle Creek COB

John Henry Brubaker, 94, of Lititz, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017, at Luther Acres.

Born in Elizabeth Township, he was the son of the late John B and Mary Burkholder Brubaker, and stepmother, Lizzie Metzler Brubaker. He was the husband of Orlena F. Stauffer Brubaker, and they celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary Feb. 14.

John was a farmer in Brickerville, and a school bus driver for 50 years. He was a member of Middle Creek Church of the Brethren in Lititz, where he taught an adult Sunday school class for many years.

Surviving in addition to his wife are five children: Orlena S., wife of John Felpel, of Lititz; John W., husband of Jeanne Wert Witmer Brubaker, of Mount Joy; Dr. Paul E., husband of Sandra Hollinger Brubaker, of Manheim; Elaine S., wife of Glenn Noecker, of Bernville; Sharon S., wife of Andrew Acker, Lancaster; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and a sister: Elizabeth, wife of William Martin, of Lititz.

He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Shirley G. Miller Brubaker; a great-granddaughter: Julie A. Shenk; a brother: H. Elmer Brubaker; and two sisters: Arlene Patches and Marian Miller.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 16, at 11 a.m., in the Town Center Community Room at Luther Acres, 250 St. Luke Drive, Lititz, with the Rev. Paul W. Brubaker officiating. There will be no public viewing. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service.

Ruth Derstine Wenger, 82, EHS phys ed and health teacher, Hall of Famer

Ruth Derstine Wenger, of Akron, passed away June 12, 2017, at the age of 82.

Ruth was born Nov. 16, 1934, in Souderton, to her parents, Titus and Eva (Sell) Derstine.

She participated in the marching band and played several sports before graduating from Souderton High School. After playing on the field hockey, basketball, and softball teams at Temple University, she graduated with a degree in physical education in 1956. While in college, she enjoyed lifeguarding in Cape May during her summers.

She began her teaching career at Glenside Weldon, and later moved back to Souderton High School after her mother passed away, so that she could help care for her father and brother, Dick. She met her husband, Sam, on a memorable car trip to Indiana, and they were married in 1965.

Sam and Ruth lived in Rothsville, and later Akron, while Sam continued his teaching career and Ruth coached various sports at Lancaster Bible College and Elizabethtown College. While her children were young, she went on to coach field hockey for two stellar seasons at Franklin & Marshall.

Ruth returned to her teaching roots and taught phys ed and health at Ephrata School District, where she also started the softball program, and coached varsity field hockey and junior high basketball for many seasons before retiring in 1996. During her tenure, her teams won many league and district championships. She was inducted into Ephrata High School’s Hall of Fame in 1999.

Ruth had many interests and passions. She served as a mentor to young people in her church, and participated in her house church, in addition to cultivating meaningful relationships through teaching and coaching. Playing the recorder, singing, gardening, and drawing also engaged her creative side.

Always interested in issues regarding peace and social justice, she participated in Women in Black and donated time with Mennonite Disaster Service. Ruth’s love of traveling began with a year of voluntary service at an orphanage and work camps in postwar Germany. She and Sam visited Alaska and Newfoundland as well as many countries in Europe and Africa. In later life, she also enjoyed reading, playing board games as well as watching her grandchildren’s athletic events and musical endeavors.

Ruth is survived by her daughters: Ann (Jon) Whipple of Cape May, N.J.; Carla (Dennis) Vicidomini of Lancaster; and Tonya Wenger (Eric Gjertsen) of Akron; as well as four grandchildren: Hannah and Jay Whipple, and Nick and Tyler Vicidomini.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Sam; parents: Titus and Eva; stepmother: Mary Ellen; and brother: Richard.

Ruth’s family will hold visitations on Friday, June 16, from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at Akron Mennonite Church, 1311 Diamond St., Akron. A celebration of life service will follow at 11:00 AM. All are welcome to attend.

Memorial donations in Ruth’s name may be given to Crossroads Women’s Center – Women Count! -and Mennonite Disaster Service.

Marian S. Markey, 90, raised in Ephrata, celebrated first-grade teacher, inspired many

Marian S. Markey, 90, formerly of Harrisburg, died peacefully June 8, 2017.

Marian was born Marian R. Shaub, and was the only child of Esther I. Shaub, and Milton L. Shaub, who lived near Ephrata.

Marian was a first-grade elementary school teacher in Harrisburg, for nearly 20 years. She was respected by parents, loved by her students, and was celebrated by her fellow teachers and principals of the public school she taught in. She nurtured, she inspired, and she will be missed.

She was married to the Rev. David J. Markey, who died in 2008, and is survived by her four adult children, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 23, at 11 a.m. at Mohler Church of the Brethren, 21 E. Mohler Church Road, Ephrata.

Lizzie W. (Leid) Imhoff, 90, of Goshen, Ind., died May 22, 2017.

She was born Nov. 11, 1926 to John G. and Anna Weaver Leid. She married Elmer J. Imhoff on May 26, 1983. He passed away Oct. 14, 2001. He was first married to Mary G. Weaver, who died Aug. 29, 1981.

Lizzie was stepmother to all surviving family: four daughters: Rhoda (Elon) Martin, Goshen, Ind.; Esther (Elmer) Ramer, Carson City, Mich.; Lois (Aaron) Ramer, Rochester, N.Y.; Rachel (late John) Ramer, Wakarusa, Iind.; one son: David (Emma) Imhoff, Goshen, Ind.; two daughters-in-law: Pauline (late Daniel) Imhoff, Tippecanoe, Ind.; and Hettie (late Heber) Imhoff, Goshen, Ind.; 41 grandchildren, 229 great-grandchildren; 32 greatgreat-grandchildren; two sisters: Emma (Willis) Nolt and Susanna (late Alan) Lemmon; and a sister-in-law: Lydia Leid, New Holland.

Preceding her in death are her husband: Elmer; three sons: Daniel, Heber, and Paul; son-in-law: John Ramer; a grandson; six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Ella Zimmerman and Mabel Hoover; and five brothers: Ivan, Don, Paul, Amos, and Elmer Leid.

She was a member of the Yellow Creek Old Order Mennonite Church. Lizzie had been employed by Ephrata Community Hospital for many years, in the kitchen and laundry, until she married and moved to Indiana.

God’s finger touched her and she slipped away

from earth’s dark shadows to a brighter day.

God saw the road was getting rough.

The hills were hard to climb.

He gently closed her weary eyes

and whispered, “Peace be thine.”

Harry W. Hertzler, 100, ordained minister, member of Bethel Mennonite Church

Harry W. Hertzler, born April 4, 1917, to the late Henry P. and Anna (Shenk) Hertzler, passed away peacefully from this life Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at the age of 100 years, two months, and 10 days, at Lincoln Christian Home.

He was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church, Mount Pleasant Mills, where he had lived for 13 years with his wife Alma J. (Martin Swartzendruber) Hertzler. He was ordained to the ministry at Rock Mennonite Church, Elverson, in 1958 and endeavored to serve faithfully in many church, school and mission capacities.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six sons: J. David, husband of Ilva, of Milford, Del.; Joseph, husband of Norma, of Cumberland, Va.; John Paul of Fair Play, S.C.; Daniel, husband of Ruth, of Chewelah, Wash.; Michael, husband of Kay, of Meadville; Henry, husband of Gwen, of Tahlequah, Okla.; a daughter: Lois Ann, wife of Phillip Danner, of Hanover; two step-daughters: Ruth (Swartzendruber), wife of Paul Hollingshead, of Reinholds; and Rosa Swartzendruber of Mount Pleasant Mills; a son-in-law: Marvin, husband of Jean Rohrer, of Browerville, Minn.; a brother-in-law: Johnny Wenger of Goshen, Ind.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and five sisters; his first wife: Edna W. (Wenger) Hertzler; a daughter: Mary June (Hertzler) Rohrer; and a daughter-in-law: Alma (Yoder) Hertzler.

A funeral service was held June 19 at the Salisbury Mennonite Church in Delaware, with the Bethel Church Ministry officiating. Interment was in the Salisbury Mennonite Cemetery.

M. Kathryn (High) Good, 73, known as “Kathy” of Denver, passed away after a long illness on Friday, June 9, 2017.

She was the daughter of the late Levi and Katie (Good) High.

Kathy is survived by daughter: Debi Good (Cohick); son: Rick Good; grandchildren: Toniel (Cohick) Fetter and Derrick Good; two great-grandchildren; three brothers: Clair, Dale, and Fred; and a sister: June (High) Horst.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Leon and Donald.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

R. Clinton Buch went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at the age of 94.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys M. (Hull) Buch of Ephrata; a daughter: Pam, wife of Scott Eberly, of New Mexico; a son-in-law: Louis P. Thompson of Ephrata; and two brothers: F. Marvin Buch of Leola; and Richard L., husband of Shirley Buch, of Leola.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter: Sheila Thompson; a brother: John H. Buch, and a sister: Arlene Barley.

Funeral services were held June 17 at Grace E.C. Church, Akron, with Pastor Leslie Cool officiating. Interment was private at Mount Zion Evangelical Cemetery.

Daniel Armbruster Jr., 52, of Reading and formerly of Ephrata, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at the Reading Hospital.

Daniel was born Feb. 11, 1965, the son of the late Daniel and Gisela (Hornnig) Armbruster Sr.

He enjoyed fishing and the watching the Miami Dolphins.

He is survived by a son: Trevor D. Armbruster of Jonestown; daughter: Danielle M. Armbruster and fiancé Thomas Brewer; grandchildren: LeLand, Logan and Layton Brewer; brother: Edgar Armbruster of Muhlenberg; and sister: Ingrid L., wife of David M. Brubacher, of Ephrata.

Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.
