Ana E. Stanke, 31, of Ephrata, passed away on Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, after courageously battling injuries sustained in a Sept. 7 car accident.

She was born in Lancaster to Joseph G. Stanke III, husband of Bonnie (Houtz) Stanke, of Brickerville; and Julie Wilson of Staunton, Va.

Ana worked for McDonald’s in Lancaster and Lebanon counties. She was a loving mother who enjoyed spending quality time with her two children; playing with her dog, Nova; working in the yard; camping; watching movies; and going to the beach, especially Daytona Beach. She also loved horseback riding, and had a strong passion to help neglected animals.

In addition to her parents, Ana is survived by a son: Elijah Frank Lee Stanke; daughter: Esther Lynn Stanke; four grandparents: Stella J. Houtz of Lititz; Shirley A. Spleen of Lititz; Joseph and Judy Stanke of Austin, Texas; a brother: Joseph G. Stanke IV of Austin, Texas; and a sister: Christina Wilson of Lancaster.

Services were held Oct. 23 at First United Methodist Church, Ephrata, with Pastor Walter Carter officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, please honor Ana’s life by contributing to her children’s’ gofundme link on stradlingfuneralhome.com; or mail checks made out to either child’s name, endorsed with “deposit only,” to Ephrata National Bank, PO Box 457, Ephrata, PA 17522.
