Aaron W. Zimmerman, 79, retired farmer, father of 10, Millway Mennonite Church member

Aaron W. Zimmerman, 79, of Lititz, passed away of heart failure, on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at his residence.

He was born in West Earl Township, the son of the late Titus W. and Katie S. (Weaver) Zimmerman, and was the husband of Lena B. (Weaver) Zimmerman with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.

Aaron was a member of Millway Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference. He was a retired farmer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Eugene (Katie) Zimmerman of Penn Yan, N.Y.; Elvin (Mary Ann) Zimmerman of Tiro, Ohio; Joanne (Luke) Weaver of Ephrata; Ralph (Mary) Zimmerman of Shiloh, Ohio; Louis (Linda) Zimmerman of Ephrata; Leon Zimmerman of Lititz; Irene (Chester) Martin of Penn Yan, N.Y.; Amos (Marlene) Zimmerman of Lititz; Arlene (Eldon) Ringler of Elkton, Ky.; Cleason Zimmerman of Ephrata; 75 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren; siblings: Katie (Amos) Sauder of Ephrata; Martha Zimmerman of Ephrata; Amos (Lydia Mae) Zimmerman of Penn Yan, N.Y.; Lena Zimmerman of New Holland; Elsie Zimmerman of Ephrata; and Amanda (Mervin) Myer of Quarryville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-grandson; and four sisters: Ella Zimmerman, Edna Horst, Eva Sauder, and Annie Stauffer.

Services were held Oct. 23 at Millway Mennonite Church, Lititz, with Bishop Ammon Weaver officiating. Interment took place in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
