Arlene M. Shenk, 89, a lifelong Ephrata area resident, passed away Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014, at Lancashire Hall Nursing Home, Lancaster.
Her husband, the late Marvin H. Shenk, passed away in June of 1998. Arlene was a daughter of the late Harvey and Jennie (Gray) Dennis.
She was a member of Swamp Christian Fellowship in Reinholds, and worked for Wilbur Chocolate in Lititz, and most recently for Weavers Markets in Denver.
Arlene is survived by two children: her son: Terry Shenk; and daughter: Marilyn, wife of Donald Heil, of Denver; two grandsons: Michael Shenk, husband of Kathy, of Denver; and Mark Burd, husband of Jenna, of Ephrata; one granddaughter: Angela, wife of Casey Firestone, of Kalispell, Mont.; six great-grandchildren: Ben, Madison, Eric, Mark, Derrick, and Kristina; and one sister, Dorothy Dickinson of Lancaster.
In addition to her husband and parents, Arlene was preceded in death by one son: Robert Shenk.
Funeral services will be held at Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, 100 W. Main St., Ephrata, on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 11 a.m. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Place of interment will be Memory Gardens, East Cocalico Township.
