Jean E. Youndt, 91, of Reinholds, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at Ephrata Manor.
She was born in Reading to the late John and Elsie (Bentz) Barto and was the wife of the late Carl S. “John” Youndt, who died May 23, 2000.
She was a member of the Peace United Church of Christ in Swartzville. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was an avid Phillies fan.
Jean is survived by six children: Marjorie, wife of Daniel Hornberger of Ephrata; Janet Youndt of Reinholds; Donna, wife of John Schreck of Ephrata; F. John “Skip,” husband of Claudia Hause of Sinking Spring; Wilson C., husband of Connie Youndt of Reinholds; and Allan L.Youndt of Reinholds; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a sister: Anna Mae Blotney.
A viewing will be held on Monday, Sept. 22, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Roseboro Funeral Home, 533 Walnut St., Denver, where funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m., with Reverend William E. Hoch officiating. Interment will take place in the Muddy Creek Cemetery.
