Beatrice Anne (Rex) Kuehner, 89, of Ephrata, went to be with Jesus Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Conestoga View.
Born June 23, 1924 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Albert W. and Lily (Mitchell) Rex. Beatrice was a 1945 graduate of the Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing.
Beatrice was a Registered Nurse and had worked at both Lancaster General Hospital and Broward General Hospital, Fla. She also had done private duty caregiving.
Surviving are two children: Frederick “Rick” Kuehner husband of Carol, of Lititz and Kathryn “Kitty” Cunningham, of Lancaster; three grandchildren: Ryan Kuehner husband of Tracy Kuehner, Pastor Adam Kuehner, husband of Maegan, and Sarah Cunningham fiancée of Jack Kahaian; eight great-grandchildren: Micaiah, Frederick, Duncan, Myles, Jackson, Madeline &tstr;and soon to arrive, baby Beatrice Kuehner and Baby Boy Kahaian; two sisters: Elizabeth Everhart, of Bowmansville and Martha Baldwin, of Tucson, Ariz.; as well as extended family and caring friends.
She was also preceded in death by a sister: Marjorie Manning.
Beatrice’s Celebration of Life Funeral Service was held at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home “Sullivan Home,” Lancaster, on June 16. Interment followed in the Riverview Burial Park.
