James ‘Jim’ O. Nolt, 73, Raytec retiree, Grace Point Church member, outdoorsman, cherished family

James “Jim” O. Nolt, 73, of Ephrata, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was born in Lititz to the late Paul and Esther (Oberholtzer) Nolt, and was the husband of Maryann Nolt with whom he shared 48 years of marriage.

He was an active member of Grace Point Church of the Nazarene. Jim was a metal fabricator for Raytec in New Holland before retiring. He was a graduate of Warwick High School. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping. He loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by three children: James M., husband of Heidi (Lefever) Bushong of Lititz; Scott J., husband of Molly (Young) Nolt of Lancaster; Dawn M., wife of Bryce Robson of Ephrata; six grandchildren: James Bushong Jr., Wilson Bushong, Madison (Nolt) Fitzgerald, Makenzie Nolt, Devin Robson, Colin Robson; and seven siblings: Mary Nolt, Lois Landis, both of Lititz; David O., husband of Ruthie Nolt of Stevens; Daniel O., husband of Cindy Nolt of Florida; Esther, wife of David Boas of Manheim; Anna, wife of Robert Reeser of Strasburg; Miriam, wife of Robin Ginder, also of Lititz.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Shannon M. Nolt; two brothers: John and Luke Nolt; a sister: Ruth Keener; and an infant sister.

Services were held July 8 at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, Ephrata, with Pastor Rocky Hambrick and Dr. B.W. Hambrick officiating. Interment was in the Hess Mennonite Cemetery, Lititz.
