Paul Vincent Bryan, 85, Ephrata, priest out of St. Clement, gave missions around the country

Rev. Paul Vincent Bryan, C.Ss.R. 85, of the St. Clement Mission House Community, Ephrata, died on March 25, 2019, at the Stella Maris Nursing Home in Timonium, Md.

Father Bryan was born on June 19, 1933, in Brentwood, N.Y., the son of George and Rita (Fearon); and brother of former Redemptorists George J. and Robert J. Bryan.

Father Bryan attended the Redemptorist Minor Seminary of St. Mary’s College, North East, from 1947-1953. He professed temporary vows on Aug. 2, 1954 at St. Mary’s, Ilchester, Md., and perpetual vows on Sept. 2, 1957 at Mount. St. Alphonsus, Esopus, N.Y. He was ordained to the priesthood on June 21, 1959, at Mt. St. Alphonsus Seminary, Esopus, N.Y.

Paul resided in Ephrata, where he gave missions around the country until 2017 when his health forced him to retire. Fr. Bryan then moved to the St. John Neumann Residence at Stella Maris in Timonium, Md.

Services were held March 30 at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church, Ephrata. Final Commendation and Farewell followed the mass at the Redemptorist Cemetery at St. Clement Mission House.
