Janet M. Sensenig, 88, homemaker, married more than 70 years, MZUMC member, great cook

Janet M. Sensenig, 88, of Ephrata, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.

She was born in West Earl Township to the late Allen S. and Mary R. (Spangler) Sweigart, and was the wife of Raymond M. Sensenig, with whom she shared over 70 years of marriage.

She was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church. Janet was a homemaker. She was an excellent cook and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her husband, Janet is survived by five children: Susan E., wife of Gary D. Matson; R. Gary, husband of Mary Ann Sensenig; Vickie L., wife of Robert H. Stauffer; Jennifer L., wife of Jan L. Brossman; Gregory S., husband of Stacey Sensenig; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law: Roy Stricker; and two sisters-in-law: Edna Walton and Phyllis Sensenig.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Allen V. Sweigart; and two sisters: Eleanor F. Young, and Sara V. Stricker.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
