Abner Glenn “Shorty” Martin, 29, of Ephrata, died unexpectedly of natural causes, on Sept. 7, 2017.
Abner was born Sept. 27, 1987, in Mercersburg. He grew up in Pennsylvania but then moved away and lived in Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, prior to moving back to Ephrata.
He was an amazing father, husband, and person. He always helped anyone who needed help. Shorty always put others and their needs before his. When he wasn’t at work with his brother and best friend, he was helping others and spending time with his family. He enjoyed woodworking when he had some extra time.
He is survived by his wife: Danielle (Walden); two sons: Jaxson and Noah; his parents: Nolan and Shirley Martin, Lititz; his parents-in-law: Christopher and Jennifer Harden, Overland Park, Kansas; brothers: Jeremy Martin (Davina), Versailles, Mo.; Jaylan (Tamar) Martin, Lancaster; Abram (Grace) Martin, Honey Brook; Zachary (Amanda) Martin, Terre Hill; Gabriel (Jazlyn) Martin, Ephrata; Emanuel (Justina) Martin, Ephrata; Rafael (Dominique) Anzaldua, Dallas, Texas; sisters: Tancy Zook (Joe), Poteauu, Okla.; Tiana Stoltzfus (Steve, Millbrook, Ala.; Tabeal Martin, Lititz; sister-in-law: Michelle Walden, Overland Park, Kansas; 20 nieces and nephews; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Services were held Sept. 12 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, Lititz.
