Clarence R. Burd Sr., 90, Denver, died July 29, 2017, in Mount Joy Hospice Center.
Born in Denver, a son of the late Paul and Maude (Eckenrode) Burd Sr., he was married 73 years on June 28 to Arlene (Schmeck) Burd.
An equipment operator for several companies, he also did concrete work with his father in earlier years. He had a great interest in local artifacts, antique hit-and-miss engines, and cherished family times.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are children: Ronald (Carol) Burd, Clarence (Betty Jane) Burd Jr.; and Pat (Bob) Stricker; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Siblings: Miriam Hehnly and Paul Burd Jr., predeceased him.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, Aug. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Good Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, Reamstown.
Rather than flowers, contributions in Clarence’s memory may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
