Richard S. Zimmerman, 42, of Lititz, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017, at his residence, after a 14-month battle with cancer.
He was born in Ephrata to Marvin and Mabel (Shirk) Zimmerman of Ephrata, and was the loving husband of Christine H. (High) Zimmerman.
Richard was a member of Meadow Valley Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference. He worked as a fabricator for 26 years at Paul B. Zimmerman, Ephrata.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by eight children: Yolanda J., Josiah D., Devon R., Andrew C., Christopher J., Jordan B., Rylan P. and Claudia G. Zimmerman, all at home; two brothers: Gary L., husband of Carol Zimmerman, of Ephrata; Glenn S., husband of Anita Zimmerman, of Stevens; two sisters: Marlene S., wife of Marvin Martin, of Cato, N.Y.; and Rosalie S., wife of Gary Nolt, of Lebanon.
Services were held Aug. 2 at Meadow Valley Mennonite Church, Ephrata, with Bishop Melvin H. Martin officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
