Mildred L. Wenrich, 92, of Calvary Fellowship Homes, Lancaster, entered into the arms of her Savior on Monday, March 13, 2017, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.
Formerly of Paradise, Mildred was born in Reinholds to the late John B. and Caroline Leed Loose on Aug. 13, 1924, and was the wife of K. Leon Wenrich. They were married for 65 years prior to his death in December 2011.
Mildred was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and had a warm and loving heart for all children. She was a member of Ephrata Bible Fellowship Church, Ephrata, where she served in the nursery for many years. She also volunteered as a Girl Scout leader, Sunday School teacher, and babysitter for scores of children throughout her life. Mildred worked as a waitress and in various factories before her retirement.
She is survived by a daughter: Donna M., wife of Charles J. Albert Jr., of Paradise; seven grandchildren: Lisa R. Herion, Mark B. Fabian, Charles Albert III, Jeffery S. Albert, Tamara Flores, Amanda Don, and Matthew Albert; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Christina L. Fabian; and sons: David L. Wenrich and Brian L. Wenrich.
A celebration of life service was held March 20 Calvary Fellowship Homes, Lancaster, with Pastor Keith Brown officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mildred’s memory may be made to the Mission Fund, Ephrata Bible Fellowship Church, 491 Peach Road, Ephrata, PA 17522.
