Donna M. Eckenroth, 64, Ephrata, died May 22, 2016, her birthday, at home under hospice care.
Born in Ephrata, a daughter of the late Richard T. and Mildred A. (Swartz) Eckenroth, she was employed as a cook at Cloister Restaurant, and formerly at Dutchman’s Diner, The Wooden Spoon, and Milestone. Donna was a member of the Reinholds VFW, enjoyed reading, trips to the beach, sudoku puzzles, and coffee sessions with friends.
Surviving are sisters: Betty J. Eberly, Denver; and Kathy A. (David) Eager, Holly Hill, Fla.; and a brother: Richard C. Eckenroth, Mount Union.
A brother, Kenneth E. Eckenroth, predeceased her.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, May 27, at 1 p.m., from Good Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, Reamstown, with burial to follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery, Swartzville. The visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be no public viewing at Donna’s request. Kindly omit flowers.
