Lloyd M. Moyer, 77, Bethel, died May 12, 2016, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, following a brief illness.
Born in Manheim, a son of the late Lloyd H. and Ruth (Mann) Moyer, he was the husband of Naomi (Keller) Moyer for 56 years.
A member, deacon, trustee, and youth advisor of Little Swatara Church of the Brethren; he also helped organize the church tractor, truck and car show. Lloyd was employed as buildings and grounds manager for more than 40 years at Camp Swatara, Bethel, where he was active in tournaments and fundraising. He was an avid golfer, woodworker, outdoorsman.
Also surviving are daughters: LuCinda M. “Cindy” (David L.) Bradley, Quentin; Mellissa M. (John R.) Hipps, Dayton, Va.; son: Errol S. (Nanette R. Gingrich) Moyer, East Petersburg; grandchildren: Ethan (Jenna McKee) and Jacob Bradley; and Alton and Adeline Hipps; sister: Elsie (Lowell) Stauffer; and brothers: Carl (Helen), Earl, Burnell (Erma), Glenn (Shirley), Harold (Alta), and Lamar (Sally) Moyer.
The funeral will be held Saturday, May 21, at 11 a.m., from Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, 31 Rehrersburg Road, Bethel, with Pastor Matt Christ officiating. Burial will be in adjoining cemetery. The viewings will be from the church Friday, May 20, from 5 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
