Willard H. Gehman, 85, of Lancaster, formerly of Ephrata, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Homestead Village.
He was born in Adamstown to the late Ivan and Sallie Gehman and was the husband of the late Margaret (Werner) Gehman who died on February 22, 2015.
He was a member of the Lancaster Alliance Church. He enjoyed reading, word searches, and traveling in his earlier years. Willard served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He formerly worked for Yellow Freight and retired in 1995.
Willard is survived by a son: Randy A., husband of Loretta (Good) Gehman, of Lancaster; a daughter: Kathy, wife of William Stanley, of Ephrata; three grandchildren: Andrew Gehman, Bethany Gehman, and Laura Thornton; two great-grandchildren: Leslie and Brian Miller; and a sister: Arlene Justice of Adamstown.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Janet Enck.
Services were held April 29 at Lancaster Alliance Church, with the Rev. Carl McGarvey officiating. Private family interment took place in the Memory Gardens Memorial Cemetery.
