Juanita K. Bleecher, 65, Ephrata native, Cinderella knitting worker, gifted baker, floral arranger

Juanita K. Bleecher, 65, Mount Joy, died April 30, 2016, at Hershey Medical Center.

Born in Ephrata, a daughter of the late Howard A. and Lucy J. (Messner) Althouse, she was a member of Mount Joy Mennonite Church.

Juanita worked at Cinderella Knitting Mill, Floral Creations, and Landisville Bakery. She shared her creative talents with baking, floral arrangements and as a seamstress. A friend to all, she loved her church family and cherished her grand and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are daughters: Pamela S. Knapp, Burnt Cabins; Tamela S. Thome, Elizabethtown; and Sherry L. (Erich) Broome, Columbia; son: Richard C. Newcomer Jr., Stevens; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Priscilla A. Bender, Lititz; and Peggy L. Althouse, Denver.

A twin sister, Kay J. Althouse, predeceased her.

A viewing will be held Thursday, May 5, from 6 to 8 p.m., from Good Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, Reamstown. The memorial service will be Saturday, May 7, at 10:30 a.m., from Mount Joy Mennonite Church, 320 Musser Road, Mount Joy.

Rather than flowers, contributions may be sent to American Diabetes Association, Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312, or her church, at Mount Joy Mennonite Church, 320 Musser Road, Mount Joy, PA, 17552.
