Priscilla Ann Neaher, “Pat Neaher,” formerly of Ephrata, currently of Spring Hill, Fla., died peacefully on March 11, 2016, at the age of 76.

Priscilla is survived by her husband of 49 years: Harold Neaher; her children: Amy Meghan Blankenship and spouse, John Blankenship; Theresa Courtney Gettle, and spouse, Jonathan Gettle; and Andrew Joseph Neaher; as well as five grandchildren: Hunter James Gettle, Brianna Skye Gettle, Brady Forest Gettle, Delaney Marie Blankenship, and Jackson Charles Blankenship.

Priscilla was born on Feb. 7, 1940, to William Walter and Margaret Elizabeth Trautmann. As a talented singer, she gifted many with her alto talent in school and public performances, belting out songs that were in surprising contrast to her small stature. Priscilla graduated from Fort Lee High School and Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School and worked as a legal secretary. She married her sweetheart, Harold Neaher, in 1966 and they moved to Ephrata in 1973. Over a period of years, the couple welcomed many foster babies into their home and Priscilla nurtured and cared for these children, showering them with healing love, a safe home, and imprinting in them positive memories of their childhood until she had to release them to adoptive parents.

Priscilla was accomplished at crocheting and over the years she made many a newborn a beautiful blanket or layette. She had a love for everything Irish and passed along to her children the belief in the luck of the Irish and the little people. She worked as a business owner for many delicatessens over the years. She loved crocheting hats and scarves for her grandchildren, was a devote Catholic, loved cooking with her favorite dishes being lasagna and Spanish chicken.

The service and interment will be private.
