Ada E. Mohn, 91, of Keystone Villa, Ephrata, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 5, 2018.

Born in Springville, on May 17, 1927, Ada was the daughter of the late Harry E. Gehr and Mary Jane (Dennis) Gehr. She married the love of her life, Arthur S. Mohn, on Feb. 18, 1956, and the couple took up a near lifelong residence in Reamstown.

Surviving Ada, in addition to her husband: Arthur; is her daughter: Deborah Ann, wife of Robert DeHaven of Stevens. Also surviving are two grandsons: Kyle and Kole DeHaven, of Stevens; and one brother: Mark R. Gehr, of Ephrata.

Preceding Ada in death, in addition to her parents, were three sisters: Bessie Burkholder, Celia Stoltzfus, Luella Firestone; and six brothers: Paul, John, Edwin, Charles, Luther, and Arthur Gehr.

Ada worked many years for the W.W.Moyer Company in Ephrata, ending her career at Cinderella Knitting Mill of Denver. She was a member of the Muddy Creek Lutheran Church, Denver.

She not only loved her daughter and grandchildren, but she loved children in general. She would take every opportunity to talk, play, and interact with kids (it kept her young at heart). Hospitality was her motto. If you came to Ada’s home, you had to be prepared to eat. Ada and Arthur loved to travel, having seen most of the USA, visited Mexico and cruised through the Caribbean. The couple also enjoyed good country music.

Funeral services were June 11 at Muddy Creek Lutheran Church, Denver, with Pastor Peter Schwabe-Fry officiating. Interment was at Salem Union Cemetery, Reamstown.
