Earl B. Petticoffer, 98, Clay native, Keller Bros. driver, enjoyed bowling, piano music

Earl B. Petticoffer, 98, of Lititz, passed away on April 17, 2015 at Brethren Village.

Born in Clay Township, he was the son of the late Barton and Minnie Bomberger Petticoffer. He was married to the late Pauline Hollinger Petticoffer, who passed away in 1943 and was married for 59 years to the late Esther Wolgemuth Petticoffer.

For 30 years Earl worked in production for Black & Decker in Lancaster. Following his retirement he drove cars for Keller Bros., Lititz. Earl was a member of the Lititz Church of the Brethren and he enjoyed bowling and listening to piano music.

He will be lovingly missed by his daughters: Carolyn, wife of Thomas Fritz, Manheim; Kathleen, wife of William (Dale) Fry Jr., Lititz; three grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter; Julia Ann Petticoffer; and siblings: Henry, Edgar, Ammon, Ira, Lee and Elmer.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, April 22, at the Chapel at Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster. There will be a private interment for the family.

Contributions in memory of Earl may be made to the Brethren Village Benevolence Fund, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17606.
