Leroy R. Glick, 91, Denver, worked for Clean Burn, retired farmer, helped drive Amish

Leroy R. Glick, 91, of Denver, formerly of White Horse, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014.

He was the husband of Aary E. Zook Glick and would have celebrated 70 years of marriage on November of this year. Born in Gap, he was the son of the late David K. and Dora Riehl Glick.

Leroy was a member of the Gap View Mennonite Church. He was a retired farmer, carpenter, and also worked at Clean Burn in Leola. He volunteered with the White Horse Fire Company and provided transportation for the Amish community.

In addition to his wife, Leroy is survived by eight children: Sarah, wife of Emanuel Riehl of Kinzer; Daniel, husband of Elsie Lantz Glick of Gordonville; Fannie, wife of Thomas Dobbs of Bird-in-Hand; Kate, wife of Elmer Stoltzfus of Lancaster; Steven, husband of Kimberly Martin Glick of New Holland; Ruthie, wife of Virgil Zook of New Holland; Linda, wife of Brian Roggie of Bowmansville; and Lydiann, wife of Ted Zeiset of Denver, with whom he resided; 24 grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren; and sister: Annie Beiler of Gap.

He was preceded in death by a stillborn daughter; three grandchildren: Daryn Glick, Lorraine Riehl Besanson and Christopher Stoltzfus; five brothers; and five sisters.

The funeral service was held at the Pequea Amish Mennonite Church Oct. 18 with Pastors Mervin Fisher, Amos King, and John Glick officiating. Interment was in the Buena Vista Amish Cemetery.
