Charles A. Lindberg, 85, of Ephrata, passed away Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, at Denver Health & Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Farmersville to the late Amos and Anna Lindberg and was the husband of Joyce (Kilhefner) Lindberg with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.
Charles was a member of the Ephrata Church of the Brethren. He served his country in the US Air Force during WWII. He was a member of the Burlington Hunting Camp, loved the mountains, going to the cabin and gardening.
In addition to his wife; he is survived by two sons: Jeff Lindberg of Sinking Spring, and Daryl Lindberg of Ephrata; four grandchildren: Justin, husband of Jamie Lindberg; Jared, husband of Jennifer Lindberg; Macey Lindberg and Mitchell Lindberg; three great-grandchildren: Camden, Joshua and Zoe; a brother: Melvin Lindberg of Ephrata; four sisters: Katherine Gensemer of Manheim, Helen McWilliams of Florida: Ethel Barlett of Lebanon; and Marion Dissinger of Akron.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by two brothers: John and Joel Lindberg.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Ephrata Church of the Brethren, 201 Crescent Avenue, Ephrata. An additional visitation will be held on Friday, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church, followed by his funeral service at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Rob Eshelman officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
