Willie Davidson Stober, 90, expert woodworker, built toys for children, enjoyed motorcycle

Willie Davidson Stober, 90, Ephrata, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Ephrata Manor.

He was the widower of Sara Shupp Stober. Born October 29, 1923, in West Cocalico, he was a son of the late Allen H. and Jennie F. Stober.

Willie was a member of the Peace United Church of Christ, Denver. His favorite pastime was riding his motorcycle. He was an expert woodworker, in his later years building hundreds of toys which he gave to children for free.

Willie is survived by his sons: Spencer Shupp Stober and William Scott Stober; grandchildren: Spencer Troy Stober and Holly Renee Greene; and great-grandchildren: Spencer Lochlyn Stober and Zeniah Crystale Greene.

In addition to his wife and parents; he was preceded in death by sisters: Alberta Dissinger, Helen Stober, Rachael Hollinger, Sallie West and Vera Nolt; and brothers: Allen “Bud” Stober and Walter Redcay.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Church of Christ Homes, 30 N. 31st St., Camp Hill, PA 17011.
