Edna B. Hochstetler, 97, of Denver, wife of the late Cornelius “Neal” passed to her heavenly home June 3, 2014 after two weeks of declining health.
Born November 22, 1916 in Oregon, she was the daughter of the late Menno and Fanny Beachy.
Edna was a member of Grace and Truth Fellowship, Morgantown.
Her family of five children, 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren were her main interest. She was a friendly person who was interested in various activities. She wrote a poetry book, loved to travel and enjoyed table games.
Edna leaves precious memories for daughter: Cornelia, who lived with her; and four sons: John (Anne) of Denver, with whom she resided, Wayne (Lois), Ill., Dennis (Sharon), Colo., and Walter (Sue), Red Lake, Ontario. She is also fondly remembered by her sister: Marie Howe of Fredericksburg; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Alta Detweiler; a brother: Rufus Beachy; and a great-grandson: Jesse Hochstetler.
The funeral was held June 9 at Conestoga Mennonite Church, Morgantown. Interment was in the adjoining church cemetery.
