She was born in Sinking Spring, daughter of William and Mary (Himmelberger) Firestone and was the wife of the late Melvin P. Raysor.
Leona was a 1946 graduate of Sinking Spring High School. She was a member and former choir member of the Reamstown Church of God in Stevens. She enjoyed puzzles, ping pong, roller skating, and going out to eat with the widows of the church.
She worked as a material inspector for the Weave Corp. for 17 years.
Leona is survived by two sons: Brian L., husband of Beverly J. (Blouch) Heffner of Myerstown; David M., husband of Debra A. (Hertzog) Raysor of Reamstown; three grandchildren: Melissa, wife of Flip Michaels, April Raysor and Dustin Raysor; three great-grandchildren: Faith, Abigail and Chloe Michaels and a brother: William Firestone of Hamilton Square, N.J.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Richard Firestone.
A viewing will be held Jan. 31 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut St., Denver. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Arthur T. Karick officiating. Interment will take place in the Forest Hills Memorial Park, Inc. in Reading.
