Marie T. Sweigart, 75, Shady Maple retiree, enjoyed volunteering, collected figurines

Marie T. Sweigart, 75, of Elverson, passed away on Friday, Nov. 8, 2019 at Reading Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Thomas and Catherine Fox Williams. She was the loving wife of Frank S. Sweigart. They would have been married 56 years on Nov. 9.

Most recently, Marie had worked as a produce clerk at the Shady Maple Farmers Market from where she retired. She was a member of Hopewell Christian Fellowship Church, Elverson. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and volunteer work. She also liked collecting figurines and playing puzzle games.

In addition to her husband, she will be lovingly missed by her three children: David married to Virginia, Goochland County, Va.; Scott Sweigart, Reinholds; Donna Haas, Harleysville; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Nov. 11 from the Hopewell Christian Fellowship, Elverson. Interment was in Groffdale Mennonite Cemetery, Leola.
