The Lord took Brenda L. Lausch, 61, in his arms to go home, on Nov. 29, 2018 after a battle with cancer.
She was born in Lancaster County to the late Norman and Helen (Carvel) Freeman, and was the wife of N. Lavern Lausch, with whom she shared 17 years of marriage, in Denver.
She was a member of Muddy Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church. Brenda had a love for antique tractors and enjoyed searching and rescuing them from unusual places. She had a thirst for life, a love for people, and knew no strangers. She filled our lives with love, laughter, and great food.
In addition to her husband, Brenda is survived by three daughters: Kristine Hill, Korrine Stokrp, and Samantha Huntley; a stepdaughter: Lori Shirk; and a stepson: Kerry “Butch” Lausch; five grandsons: Alexander, Aiden, Adam, Colin, and Brennan; and three granddaughters: Amber, Miranda, and Lacey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepson: Drew Lausch.
Services were held Dec. 4 at Muddy Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church, Denver, with Pastor Peter Schwabe-Fry officiating. Interment took place in the Muddy Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, it is Brenda’s wish that donations are given to support her grandson Alex’s Eagle Scout Project. Alex is building a handicap accessible fishing dock for disabled veterans at the Cushion Peak Rod and Gun Club. A plaque will be placed in memory of Brenda. Contributions may be sent to Boy Scout Troop 4318, c/o Eagle Scout Project, P.O. Box 382, Adamstown, PA 19501.
Arrangements by Roseboro Stradling Funeral & Cremation Services, Denver. Online condolences can be given at roseborostradling.com.
