Mildred E. Kauffman, 95, peacefully passed away on Oct. 17, 2018 at Lancashire Hall surrounded by her family.
She was born in Brecknock Township, Berks County, the oldest daughter of the late Raymond and Edna (Hemminger) Smith.
Most of her working years were in sewing factories but she last worked at Tyson Foods from which she retired. She was also a beautician.
Mildred loved flower gardening, feeding and watching all birds, animals, and bus trips, but most of all spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter: Sheila, wife of Raymond Good of East Earl; and a son: Lynn Kauffman of Milwaukee, Wisc.; four grandchildren: Tammy, Tracey, Michell and Nichole; four great-grandchildren: Kayla, Kaitlyn, Madison and Tyler; and three great-great-grandchildren: Jazmine, Dehayden and Lettie; a sister: Mabel Hartzell of Berks County; and a nephew: Robert Homan of Berks County.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Lancashire Hall and Hospice for their compassionate care that Milly received.
Services were held Oct. 22 at Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, Denver, with pastors Tom Darr and Kerry Leeper officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, Denver.
