Katie N. Zimmerman, 70, of Leola, passed away at her residence on Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, under the care of hospice.
A homemaker, she was the wife of J. Jacob Zimmerman. Born on May 6, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Samuel R. and Anna Mary S. (Nolt) Burkholder.
In addition to her husband, Katie is survived by two daughters: Anita Zimmerman of Leola; Ellen, wife of Reuben Burkholder of Greenwood, Wisc.; a son-in-law: Ezra Burkholder of Greenwood, Wisc.; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and seven siblings: Paul, Esther, Anna Mary, Sarah, Elsie, Elmer (Mary), all of Leola; and Leroy (Annetta) of East Earl.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Marian; a son: Elvin; and three siblings: Willis, Martha, Ivan.
Services were held Sept. 22 at Conestoga Mennonite Church, Ephrata, with Bishop Ammon Weaver officiating. Interment took place in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
