Charles “Chuck” D. Moyer, 79, of Denver, died Monday, June 11, 2018.
Born in Reading, Chuck was the son of the late J. Steven Sr. and Emma L. (Wails) Moyer. Married for 60 years, he was the husband of Patricia A. (Stuber) Moyer.
Chuck was a dedicated truck driver. He worked for Branch Motors of Reading and the former Wicks Lumber of Ephrata. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed mechanics. He converted his own motorcycle into a trike. Chuck also enjoyed completing leisure puzzles at home and a friendly conversation with anyone. He will forever be remembered for his strong will and his commitment to providing for his family.
In addition to his wife, Chuck is survived by three sons: C. Douglas Moyer of Gap; Tracy Lee Moyer and his wife, Karen, of Reinholds; and Kenneth Eugene Moyer and his wife, Gail, of Manheim; four siblings: Joanna Kachel, J. Steve Moyer Jr., Alice Linton, and Eleanor News; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Chuck was predeceased by his daughter: Catherine L. (Moyer) Ober; a sister: Mary Mohn; and a brother: Robert Moyer.
Services are respectfully private.
