Wesley M. Martin, 53, of Ephrata, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, at home.
He was born in West Earl Township to Mabel N. (Martin) Martin and the late Titus H. Martin, and was the husband of Elaine M. (Hoover) Martin with whom he shared 32 years of marriage.
He was a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference). Wesley enjoyed life as a dairy farmer and raised his family on the farm he grew up on. He was an active member of the West Earl Township Volunteer Fire Company.
In addition to his wife and mother, Wesley is survived by 10 children: Jolene (Merlin) Martin of Loysville, Lorelle (Nelson) Eberly of Pine Grove, Bryan (Katrina) Martin of Ephrata, Dwayne (Kirsten) Martin of New Bloomfield, Rhonda (Javin) Oberholtzer of Richland, Neal (Laura) Martin of Ephrata, Andrea, Sherita, Gary, and Kendall Martin, all at home; 12 grandchildren: Jennica, Julie, Micah, Maria, Josiah, Karissa, Weston, Jade, Bentley, Natalie, Kaleb, Bryce; 10 siblings: Susan (Leroy) Martin of Geneva, N.Y.; Curvin (Edith) Martin of Memphis, Mo.; Nelson (Alma) Martin of Mount. Joy; Nancy (the late Paul Brubaker) of Romulus, N.Y.; Titus Jr. (Lois) Martin of East Earl; Mary (Curvin) Good of Narvon; Virginia (Darryl) Eberly of Loysville; Rosene (Shelley) Musser of Lititz; Sylvia (Cleason) High of Ephrata; Arthur (Janice) Martin of Lebanon; and a sister-in-law: Lorraine Martin of Waterloo, N.Y.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Miranda Martin; three brothers: John, Leon, and Walter Martin; and a sister: Martha Martin.
Services were held Oct. 17 at Groffdale Mennonite Church, Leola, with Bishop Curvin Zimmerman officiating. Interment took place in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
