Rabieth “Tootie” McEllhenney, 95, formerly of Ephrata, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, at The Gardens at Stevens Nursing Home.
She was born in Millway to the late Irvin and Lizzie (Haldeman) Showers, and was the wife of the late Clayton McEllhenney.
Rabieth was a member of the Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Ephrata.
She is survived by a son: Darell C., husband of Mildred (Leed) McEllhenney, of East Petersburg; two daughters: Sandra A., wife of Glenn Brandt, of Palmyra; Brenda M., wife of the late Franklin Leed, of Ephrata; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter: Darlene Davidson; a brother: Vincent Showers; four sisters: Gladys Smith, Feyhilda Strohl, Dorothy Ryan, and Violet Heil.
Services were held Sept. 23 at Stradling Funeral Home, Ephrata, with Pastor Philip Walck officiating. Interment took place in Mount Zion Evangelical Cemetery.
