Daniel B. Forrey, 85, a resident of Denver Nursing Home, formerly of Columbia, passed away at the Ephrata Community Hospital on Monday, Sept. 11, 2017.
Born in Lancaster, Daniel was the son of the late Daniel H. and Alice Becker Forrey.
Daniel worked at general labor positions including a dishwasher at the VFW in Columbia, where he was a life social member. He loved reading the newspaper every day and playing checkers.
He is survived by his brothers: Robert B., husband of Christine Forrey, Ephrata; and Merle B., husband of Lois Forrey, Mifflin.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Kenneth B.; and a sister: Mary Hargreaves.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Daniel will be interred at Graybill’s Cemetery, East Petersburg, along with his parents.
