John F. Brucker Jr., 84, of Manheim, passed away at home on Sept. 6. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After the war, he went into business as a self-employed auto mechanic and auto body specialist. He was the operator of Brucker’s Garage in Manheim. He was a member of Elstonville Sportsman’s Club, where he led the dart team to several championships. In his retirement he enjoyed wine making; spending time with his family; and traveling. A sister, Marie Gingrich, lives in Ephrat
Daniel B. Forrey, 85, formerly of Columbia, passed away at the Ephrata Community Hospital on Sept. 11. Daniel worked at general labor positions, including a dishwasher at the VFW in Columbia where he was a life social member. He loved reading the newspaper every day and playing checkers. He is survived by his brother Robert B., husband of Christine Forrey, Ephrata.
Lois J. Worthington, 83, of Elizabeth Township, passed away at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy, on Sept. 2. She worked for Warner-Lambert and in retirement had been a nanny. Lois was a very caring person, who enjoyed nature, especially yellow flowers. A NASCAR fan, her favorite driver was Tony Stewart. Her sons, Earl Worthington, husband of Judith; and William Worthington, husband of Lori, reside in Ephrata.
