Robert R. “Bob” Weitzel, 81, of Denver, passed away on Wednesday, Aug.9, 2017, at home.
He was born in Schoeneck to the late Melvin and Elsie (Heck) Weitzel, and was the husband of Martha E. (Capwell) Weitzel, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.
Bob was a well-known car salesman and general manager for the Steffy Buick car dealership for more than 60 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by two sons: R. Michael, husband of Susan (Jones) Weitzel, of Schoeneck; and Randy D., husband of Wendy S. (Grimes) Weitzel, of Reinholds; four grandchildren: Kyle D., Kevin S., Kelly, and Miranda L. Weitzel; and two brothers: Richard, husband of Sylvia (Smith) Weitzel of Brunnerville; and Rodney, husband of Darla (Steely) Weitzel, of Reinholds.
He was preceded in death by a son: Dr. Scott Weitzel, MD; and a granddaughter: Alexandra Weitzel.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
