Mildred L. Martin, 86, of East Earl, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, at Hershey Medical Center.
Her husband of 51 years, LeRoy E. Martin, preceded her in death in 2002. Together, they farmed in Chester County for many years.
Born in East Earl Township, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Etta (Martin) Weaver.
She was a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church, where she taught Sunday school for 35 years and was involved with the sewing circle. She also attended Christian Fellowship Church.
Surviving are three children: Lee, married to Cathy (Bewley) Martin, New Holland; Lew, married to Deborah (Livengood) Martin, Gap; and Lynn, married to Lewis M. Good, Mohnton; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five siblings: Joseph, married to Pauline Weaver, Lancaster; Robert, married to Karen Weaver, Chamblee, Ga.; Miriam, married to I. Leroy Nolt, New Holland; Susan, married to Stan Godshall, Harrisonburg, Va.; and Dale, married to Debbie Weaver, Mechanicsburg.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, Aug. 17, at 10 a.m., at Weaverland Mennonite Church, 210 Weaverland Valley Road, East Earl. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Thursday, from 9 to 10 a.m.
