Donald H. Youndt, 89, of Fivepointville, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Fairmount Homes, Ephrata.
He was born in Fivepointville, the youngest child of the late Charles B. and Jennie (Hornberger) Youndt; and was the husband of Nancy J. (Reider) Youndt, with whom he shared 70 years of marriage.
He was a member of St. John’s UCC, Howell Lodge No. 405 F&AM in Honey Brook, Lodge of Perfection of Lancaster, Rajah Shrine Temple of Reading, Scottish Rite Consistory of Reading
Donald worked as a butcher for his family-owned business.
In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by two sons: Charles “Bob” Youndt and wife, Betsy, of Brownstown; and Craig Youndt and partner, Joan Kelly, of Surf City, N.C.; three grandchildren: Brook and husband, Alex Necker; Brody Youndt and wife, Kristen; and Blake Youndt; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson: Brett Youndt; four sisters; and four brothers.
Services were held April 18 at the Wheatridge Chapel at Fairmount Homes, Ephrata, with Pastor Bradley Haws officiating. Interment was private at the convenience of the family.
