Donald ‘Donnie’ Weidman, 63, Diamond Spring Water driver, enjoyed vacationing, time with family

Donald “Donnie” Weidman, 63, of Akron, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at home.

He was born in Ephrata to the late Calvin and Ruth (Ruhl) Weidman, and was the husband of Janie (Musser) Weidman, with whom he shared more than 42 years of marriage.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Donald was a delivery man and route manager for Ephrata Diamond Spring Water for many years, then for Tom Sturgis in Lititz for more than 15 years. He was a loving husband and father who was always there for his family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and vacationing with the entire family in Florida, and on cruises to the Caribbean.

In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by a son: Daniel, husband of Antonella Weidman, of Lititz; a daughter: Mindy, wife of Remo Duchi, of New Jersey; two grandchildren: Zoey Jane and Brady Daniel Weidman; a brother: Calvin, husband of Wendy Weidman, of Hahnstown; and a sister: Debbie Weidman of Ephrata.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother: Dale Weidman.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 12 to 1 p.m., at the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 N. Ninth St., Akron, followed by funeral services at 1 p.m., with Pastor Henry Herbner officiating.

Memorial contributions in Donald’s memory may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 167 E. Main St., Ephrata, PA 17522.
