E. Beatrice Sweigart, 97, formerly of Ephrata, passed away Friday, May 20, 2016, at Fairmount Homes.
She was born in New Holland to the late Parke and Anna (Parmer) Parmer, and was the wife of the late Elmer “Bupp” Sweigart.
Beatrice worked as a floor girl for Hesteco Garment Factory.
Beatrice is survived by a daughter: Phyllis J., wife of Carl “Pete” Ditzler, of Ephrata; two granddaughters: Allison, wife of Rick Simmons, of Ephrata; and Janna Ditzler of Pittsburgh; and one great-granddaughter: Becca.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers: Donald and Charles Parmer.
Services were held May 24 at Stradling Funeral Home, Ephrata. She was interred at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ephrata, with Pastor Rodger Hornberger officiating.
