Reuben G. Brubaker, 89, of 132 Hurst Road, Ephrata, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at his home.
He was the loving husband of Leah N. (Zimmerman) Brubaker, with whom he shared more than 67 years of marriage. Born in Jackson Township, Lebanon County, he was a son of the late Jesse A. and Ida H. (Gehman) Brubaker.
Reuben was farmer and a member of the Martindale Old Order Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.
In addition to his wife, Reuben is survived by four children: Marlin Z. Brubaker of Ephrata; Arlene Z. Hurst, wife of Aaron, of Terre Hill; Mary Ella Brubaker of Ephrata; and Carl Z. Brubaker, husband of Arlene (Burkholder), of New Holland; a brother: Emanuel G. Brubaker, husband of Judy (Antrim), of Stevens; two sisters-in-law: Elva Brubaker of Stevens; and Elsie Brubaker of Plymouth, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter: Edith Z. Brubaker; three brothers: Elvin G., Lester G., and Elam G. Brubaker; and four sisters: Mary, Edith, and Irene Shirk and Goldie Brubaker.
Services were held April 30 at Martindale Old Order Mennonite Church with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment was in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
