Eugene Roth Hollinger, 85, of Patience Lane, Ephrata, passed away at Hospice and Community Care Tuesday, July 7, 2015.
Born in Lititz, Eugene was the husband of the late Myrna B. Bachman Hollinger who died on May 15, 2011. He was the son of the late Charles and Ella Roth Hollinger.
Eugene attended the Lititz High School and was the former owner/operator of Hollinger’s Mobil Stations at Five Points in Lititz and at the Stockyards. He was a member of the Lititz American Legion and enjoyed going to Knoebel’s, Ocean City, Md.; camping at Hickory Run Campground; family pizza parties; playing card games; and spending time with his family. Everyone will remember him for his dry wit. He proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by this three children: Donna L. (Jeffrey) Frymyer, Ephrata; Carol J. Ray (companion, George Whiting), Martinez, Ga.; and James E. (Sharon) Hollinger, Lititz; six grandchildren: Erica Graziosi, Dylan Ray, Cari Jo Howell, Andrew Frymyer, Cody Hollinger, and Ashley Hollinger; seven great-grandchildren: and a brother: John R. Hollinger, Denver.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter: Jamie Lynn Frymyer.
Services were held July 13 at Ephrata Church of the Nazarene. Private interment was in Memory Gardens, Ephrata.
