Terry L. Rauser, 70, of West Cocalico Township, formerly of Akron, passed away at Hospice and Community Care, in Mount Joy, Friday, May 22, 2015.
He was the husband of Shirley A. (Miller) Rauser for 29 years and the son of the late John B. and Ruth E. (Burkholder) Rauser. Terry was born in Ephrata and was a lifelong resident of the area.
He was employed as a cement finisher by J. Richard Burkholder and in later years by Stief Concrete of New Holland. He was known by his co-workers as the “Round Man.” He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1966. Terry enjoyed watching wildlife critters at his Akron home and at Moroleigh TDC in Sullivan County. The love and pride he had for his family was felt and returned by them. He will be comfortable now and no longer have pain and suffering.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his stepdaughter: Valarie S. Good, wife of Timothy Heil, of Ephrata; and his stepson: Cory S. Good, husband of Amy Hutchinson, of Reinholds. Also surviving are step-grandchildren: Nicholas Heil, Cassandra Heil, Trent Good, and Tanner Good.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
